Those glowing eyes still stare at me
Hunting and haunting wherever I go
On a cursed day they become frozen
Forcefully closed by my shaky fingers
Years yawned away after her demise
Still they linger just like my shadow
Amazed I gazed when I felt her first glance
Not even a wink interrupting my vision
Two alluring pools with undefinable depth
They drowned my heart instant and forever
Raised my pulse and crazed my thoughts
Muddled feelings hankered for outpours
Nothing looked as bewitching as her eyes
Just a single glance I was smitten for good
Expressing volumes in a rare silent mode
Dancing in tune with her intense feelings
The exposed emotions making me vibrant
Explicit enough to excite me beyond words
With tickling glances she used to enthrall me a lot
Wings they gave me to fly off to fancied realms
Watching those eyes I could have spent my whole life
Wrecked I remain as now they are shuttered forever
Wretched I feel still wrangling with my misfortune
What else we mortals can do when fate turns so cruel?
Death often intervenes and invades abruptly
To sweep off the heaps of our dearest dreams
But yet we remain with bundles of fond memories
Not to be swallowed by the yawns of passing years
Those two glowing eyes still glittering inside me
As an ever shining light amidst the darkness!
